Students will understand thoroughly the relationship between form and content. Hence, calculus in context. Students will develop the ability to articulate thought in a language other than English and reflect on differences between that language and English. Communication: Students will be able to communicate quantitative ideas in the languages of mathematics, computer science, or quantitative social sciences and will be able to utilize quantitative information in support of an argument. If calculus is to emerge organically in the minds of the larger student population, a way must be found to involve that population in a spectrum of scientific and mathematical questions.
